This relief is on the left side of the pedestal of the statue of Théophile-Malo de la Tour d'Auvergne -Corret at Carhaix, Finistere. (for the full history of this monument, see the entry accompanying the general view) It is one of the two panels which were on the monument at the time of its inauguration in 1841. Its subject is La Tour d'Auvergne entering Chambery with a sword in his hand. Two other relief panels were provided by Marochetti much later, in 1853, by which time he was resident in England.
