Ms Anna Ferrie 1950 - I studied Graphic Design and subsequently got hooked on printmaking focusing
especially on screenprinting, being attracted to the rich layering of colours and to patterns.
I am pleased to have been able to work as a visual artist in the community and for the past 15 years I have co directed Cloth of Gold, an arts in education organisation with premises in Kilburn. Our projects explore print, textiles, digital media and creative collaborative working in schools and with groups across London and beyond.
Alongside this work I have always really enjoyed the challenge of drawing from life and in particular try to work freely and expressively with mark making. In recent years I have also created sculptures, mixed media work
and paintings. Joy's studio has given me a stimulating space in which to create work, full of fascinating objects and atmosphere which continues to intrigue and inspire. annaferrie@btinternet.com http://www.clothofgold.org.uk |
